Ubuntu Linux Manual Wi-Fi Setup
Note: The following is for user reference only as this OS is unsupported by the UF Computing Help Desk
Step 1: Connect to the ufgetonline wireless network
Step 2: Open a web browser, navigate to https://getonline.ufl.edu, and click GET ONLINE

Step 3: From the dropdown menu select Non-specific OS and click the USERTrust RSA Certification Authority link to download the network certificate

Step 4: Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi and click Eduroam to begin manual entry of the network settings

Step 5: Enter the following and click Connect
- Wi-Fi Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
- Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
- CA certificate: Select Select from file… and navigate to the downloaded certificate
- PEAP Version: Automatic
- Inner authentication: MSCHAPv2
- Username: GatorLink username@ufl.edu
- Password: GatorLink password

Step 6: Network connectivity can be confirmed by opening your web browser and navigating to https://ufl.edu in addition to verifying that the eduroam network is shown as connected in the Ubuntu taskbar
